    WELCOME TO THE RIVER CROSSING YMCA
    CAMP CARR RV CAMPGROUND!

    Please see below for important information regarding the campground, along with our policies and procedures.


    Points of Contact
    ○ To get in touch with us during the camping season (from April 1st through October 31st, please call or text (908) 735-5950. Please note this number is unattended during the off-season. Feel free to also speak with one of our campground caretakers, located on sites 1 -4.
    ○ If you need to get in touch with us during the off-season (from November 1st through March 31st,) please reach out to Andy Cogen at [email protected].

    New for the 2025 season:
    ○ Updated campground map when making reservations. This will now pop up automatically when making a reservation, allowing you to easily select a specific campsite.

    ACCOMMODATIONS: Camp Carr is an RV Campground, featuring 27 RV campsites. Each site is equipped with water and 30-amp power hookups. Tent camping is available for official organized groups only. (Examples include scouts groups, religious organizations, schools, etc.) A certificate of insurance and contract will be required from these organizations and reservations must be made through the main office by contacting Andy Cogen at [email protected].

    Please note, as we are a youth serving community organization, we run each of our guests through the National Sex Offender Registry.


    FIREWOOD: We usually have firewood available for purchase for $5 per bundle. Wood can be picked up from our campground caretaker on campsite 1.

    QUIET HOURS / NOISE POLICY:  Please be considerate of our guests who may be trying to enjoy a quiet, relaxing weekend out in the beautiful nature of our property. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am.  All children 12 and under must be accompanied/ supervised by an adult at all times. Music volume and or other noise must be managed as not to disturb other guests. For example, music volume that can be heard beyond your site is disruptive to other guests.

    POOL POLICIES:  Children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  All guests must have a wristband to enter the pool. Please see a campground caretaker if you need wristbands.
    DANGEROUS OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR IS NOT TOLERATED.  We reserve the right to dismiss guests from the pool area.

    POOL HOURS: Our outdoor pool is open from the last weekend in June, through Labor Day.  Our pool hours for our campground guests are:
    Monday—Friday: 6 pm—8 pm
    Saturday: 11—7 pm
    Sunday: 12—7 pm

    DISORDERLY BEHAVIOR:  Any type of behavior that is considered unruly, dangerous, disrespectful, or illegal will result in immediate eviction from the campground.  This includes disorderly behavior at the pool. This is at the discretion of any River Crossing YMCA staff member. 

    RIVER:   No swimming in the river.

    SITE CAPACITY:  Nightly fees include 5 people per site, along with up to 2 vehicles per site. Each vehicle must have a parking hang tag, which will be provided to you upon check-in. If you have more than 2 vehicles, any additional vehicles must be parked up at the front of the camp property near the dumpster in the field. Please don't hesitate to reach out to a campground caretaker with any questions.

    ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION:  Possession and consumption of alcohol is limited to the inside of the camping unit / camp site.  Alcoholic beverages are not to be carried through the campground.  Alcohol consumption must follow all state laws. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted during picnics in either pavilion.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL CONSUMPTION BY MINORS BE TOLERATED.  If you are under the influence of alcohol or other substances and your behaviors are deemed to be a danger to yourself or disruptive to our other guests, the authorities will be called. 

    SPEED LIMIT:  Within the campground, please observe our 5 mph speed limit.  Traffic should be kept to a minimum, exercising caution and consideration for our day campers and campground guests. Please observe all applicable speed limits on Pine Hill, Hamden River, and Camp Buck Rds for the safety of all. During the Day Camp season, please exercise extreme caution during Day Camp hours from 7:00 am-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

    PETS:  Please note that we allow a maximum of 1 pet per site.  Any pets must be leashed, quiet, and cleaned up after.  Pets may not be left unattended.  Waste should be disposed of appropriately. Please be considerate to other guests.

    FIRES:  Please ensure all campfires are contained within fire rings available at each site.  Be conscious of overhead trees, combustibles, and safety. Do not leave any fires unattended.  Bonfires and stacking of fire rings are not permitted.  
    It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to put out your fire completely before leaving.  USE FIRE RINGS PROVIDED AT THE SITE.  DO NOT BUILD YOUR RING.  DO NOT PUT GLASS BOTTLES, CANS, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF TRASH IN THE FIRE. Please utilize the NJ Forest Fire's website (https://www.nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/fire/infotools/conditions-restrictions.html) to determine if campfires are permitted. We reserve the right to ask you to extinguish any fires that are deemed a risk.

    PAVILION:  Use of our two pavilions are available for rent for private parties, reunions, picnics, etc. Please note there is no alcohol allowed under the pavilions or outside of campsites. To reserve a pavilion, please reach out to Andy Cogen ([email protected]).

    FISHING:  Fishing is permitted in the river, subject to NJ State Fish and Wildlife regulations.

    WASTE DISPOSAL:  All sewage and gray water must be disposed of at the dumping station.  Per NJ law, black and/or gray water may not be dumped into the river or onto the ground. Please make sure you remove any trash, bottles, etc. from your site before you leave.

    BIKES, MINIBIKES:  Only licensed road vehicles and licensed drivers are permitted to drive in the camp.  No mini-bikes, ATVs, or other unregistered vehicles may be operated on the property.  Bicycle helmets must be worn by youngsters as required by law and there will be no bike riding after dark for the safety of all.

    LENGTH OF STAY:  Clinton Township regulations limits overnight stays to up to two weeks at a time.  

    DAY CAMP:  From June 16th - August 28th, 2025 Day Camp operates on the campground Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.  During our morning drop-off (8:45 am – 9:15 am) and afternoon pick-up time (3:45 pm- 4:15 pm), there is significant traffic on the property. We ask that you do your best to remain at your campsite during these times and/or do not return to camp within these time frames. 

    HEALTH CARE:  We recommend that a member of your party be CPR certified and a first aid-trained person accompanies any youth group.  We also recommend that you bring first aid supplies with you during your visit.  Finally, we also recommend you keep a list of your group including names, addresses, emergency contacts, any health problems/allergies, and permission to treat any minors.  During pool operating hours, lifeguards will serve as first aid and CPR staff for those utilizing the pool.  Local rescue squads have been notified as to the hours/dates of the camping season and will respond to a 911 call to our property.

    CAMPSITES: These are to be kept clean, neat, and orderly. The woodlands and natural environment at camp are remain undamaged and unaltered.

    TRASH/RECYCLING:  Per NJ State law, please separate aluminum cans and bottles from your trash.  Keep trash contained at your site and place it in the dumpster upon departure.  The dumpster is located behind a brown fence near the entrance to the campground. For more information, please speak with a campground caretaker.

    Violation of any of these rules may result in the immediate termination of your visit and future visits. This is at the discretion of the River Crossing YMCA Staff. We reserve the right to engage law enforcement if illegal or dangerous behavior is observed or suspected.

    THE RIVER CROSSING YMCA CODE OF CONDUCT

    The YMCA is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote safety and comfort for all, all individuals are asked to act appropriately at all times when in our facility or participating in our programs.  We expect persons using the YMCA to act maturely, behave responsibly, and respect the rights and dignity of others.  Our Member’s Code of Conduct outlines prohibited action, but the actions listed below are not an all-inclusive list of behaviors considered inappropriate in our facilities and programs:

    ○Using or possessing illegal chemicals on YMCA property, in YMCA vehicles, or at YMCA-sponsored programs.

    ○ Carrying or concealing a weapon or any device or object that may be used as a weapon.

    ○ Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language, or any type of menacing behavior.

    ○ Physical contact with another person in an angry, aggressive, or threatening way.

    ○ Verbally abusive behavior, including angry or vulgar language, swearing, name-calling, or shouting.

    ○ Sexually explicit conversation or behavior: any sexual contact with another person.

    ○ Inappropriate, immodest, or sexually revealing attire.

    ○ Theft or behavior that results in the destruction or loss of property.

    In addition, the YMCA reserves the right to deny access or membership to any person who has been accused or convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse, is or has been a registered sex offender, has ever been convicted of any offense relating to the use, sale, possession, or transportation of narcotics or habits forming and/or dangerous drugs, or is presently or habitually under the influence of dangerous drugs or chemicals, narcotics, or intoxicating beverages.    Members and guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their comfort and safety by asking any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain from such behavior. Anyone who feels uncomfortable confronting a person directly should report the behavior to a staff person on duty.    YMCA staff members are eager to be of assistance. Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a staff member if assistance is needed.    To be able to carry out these policies, we ask that members and guests identify themselves to staff when asked.  A YMCA Director will investigate all reported incidents. Suspension or termination of YMCA visits and privileges may result from a determination by the YMCA Director if in their discretion a violation of the YMCA Code of Conduct has occurred.

    RMS Terms & Conditions

    1. By using RMSOnline you are entering into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the Accommodation Provider with which you make a booking. RMSOnline acts solely as an intermediary between you and the Accommodation Provider, transmitting the relevant details of your booking to the relevant Accommodation Provider.
    2. You need to use your correct information that may include email address or phone number. RMSOnline is not responsible or liable for (and have no obligation to verify) any wrong or misspelled information including email address or inaccurate or wrong (mobile) phone number or credit card number.
    3. Bookings you make through RMSOnline are received on behalf of the Accommodation Provider. You agree that that Accommodation Provider has sole responsibility for delivery of the services being booked by you and that RMSOnline is not liable for default by the Accommodation Provider.
    4. Cancellation and no-show penalties and any other fees or policies relating to changes to your booking are determined by and are the responsibility of the Accommodation Provider. An administration charge (if referenced on the booking form) applies to all booking changes and cancellations.
    5. RMS Online is not a (re)seller of the accommodation that is the subject of the booking. RMS Online is not responsible for (and disclaims any liability) for the use, validity, quality, suitability, fitness and due disclosure of the accommodation, product or service that is the subject of the booking and makes no representations, warranties or conditions of any kind in this respect, whether implied, statutory or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, title, non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose. You acknowledge and agree that the relevant Accommodation Provider is solely responsible and assumes all responsibility and liability in respect of the booking (including any warranties and representations made by the Accommodation Provider).
    6. Your booking using RMSOnline is from an inventory supplied by each Accommodation Provider. RMSOnline does not accept any liability for unavailability of rooms caused by the Accommodation Provider over-selling their own room inventory.
    7. The customer will be required to provide a credit card at check-in to cover incidental charges and may be required to provide photo ID.
    8. RMSOnline makes its best efforts to ensure that the information available on its web site is accurate. However, RMSOnline cannot and does not guarantee that the site is free from errors or faults.
    9. RMSOnline does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information published on the site at any time.
    10. RMSOnline does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with its web site or for any products or services purchased from its web site.
    11. RMSOnline receives a payment from the Accommodation Provider for the provision of the RMSOnline booking service.
    12. You must be at least 18 years of age to book Accommodation on RMSOnline.
    13. These terms do not affect consumers' statutory rights.
    14. You acknowledge that a third party ('card authoriser') will process the credit card transactions required in respect of a booking. you agree that RMSOnline is not liable for default by the card authoriser.
    15. You acknowledge that payment for the cost of accommodation may be held by RMSOnline on behalf of the Accommodation Provider and remitted to the property on terms agreed between RMSOnline and Accommodation Provider.
    16. You agree to pay using RMSOnline by debit to your credit card account the specific booking fee & cost of the accommodation required by the Accommodation Provider. Fees are GST or VAT inclusive. You agree to obtain a valid tax invoice in respect of your booking from the Accommodation Provider.
    17. Whilst every effort is made to ensure your requested room type is available, RMSOnline cannot guarantee the actual bedding configuration of the room. These requests are forwarded to the Accommodation Provider and are subject to availability on day of check-in. All additional requests (smoking room, etc) are also subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed by RMSOnline.
    18. Guests, by using RMS Online you are consenting to us sending you communication in the form of an email or text message either for and on behalf of RMS Online (including any service partner) or the Accommodation Provider. The communication (i) may be sent prior to your arrival giving information on your destination, (ii) may be sent at any time providing you with certain information and offers (including references or links to Accommodation Provider offers and third party offers and services to the extent, where required, that you have actively opted for this information), (iii) may be sent after arrival to rate the (experience with your) Accommodation Provider or RMS Online, and (iv) may be sent to you promptly after your stay inviting you to complete a Guest review form. In all cases Guests may at any time withdraw their consent to receive communications.
